My words are as much encouragement for myself as for others. We all lose hope sometimes and we all stumble. Lets build each other up. Let your light shine!

January 11 I began my final semester at River Parishes Community College (RPCC). God willing, I will graduate with an assosiates in general studies with a concentration in arts and humanities in May. I am thrilled!

However, I must admit, this is hard.

For the most part, I was lucky enough to excel in school. I was able to keep above average grades easily, rarely even studing.

Now I am really feeling the effects of the cancer treatment.

I have trouble reading and speaking. I also write slow now, lest my handing is illegible. It has proved hard to keep up with the fast pace of the professors.

Many times I have just wanted to give up. I am behind in my studies and I am struggling to catch back up,

my professors are amazing and willing to work with me. They have both been so helpful in getting me through this semster.

Have I thrown myself into panic attacks because I am so scared I won’t catch up? Yes, yes I have. But then, after a panic attack, I step back and ask myself why it happened. What is of the utmost importance so I can go ahead and complete that assignment and then with a clear mind I can work on others too.

I will pass my classes.

I will graduate.

I will walk across the stage on May 15, 2018.

will receive my associates degree.

can and I will do this!

No matter what it is. I don’t mean just college graduation. I mean anything you set your mind to can be accomplished!

I love you all and thank you so much for taking the time to read my words,
